We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our website. These tools may collect anonymized usage data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiries and assessment requests, provide and manage IT services, send service updates and support communications, send SMS notifications when you have opted in to receive them, improve our website and services, comply with legal obligations, and process payments for services.

3. SMS Communications

By submitting a contact form or assessment request on simplyit.biz with the SMS consent checkbox checked you consent to receive SMS messages from Simply IT at the phone number you provide. You may also opt in by texting a designated keyword to Simply IT when prompted, or by verbally confirming consent during a phone conversation with Simply IT staff.

SMS messages may include confirmation of your inquiry, appointment scheduling information, support ticket updates, billing-related notifications, and follow-up communications related to an active engagement.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your interactions with Simply IT — typically 1 to 4 messages per month for active customers.

Mobile information (including phone numbers and SMS opt-in data and consent) will NOT be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent is excluded from any data sharing with third parties for any purpose other than operating this SMS program through Simply IT's communications platform vendors (currently Twilio Inc.), which are contractually required to protect your information and use it only to deliver our messages on our behalf.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share, rent, lease, or sell mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We may share information with service providers who help us operate our business including Supabase (database), Resend (email), Twilio Inc. (SMS messaging), Vercel (hosting), and Google (analytics). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only to perform services on Simply IT's behalf. Twilio specifically uses mobile opt-in data and phone numbers solely to deliver SMS messages on our behalf and does not use this information for its own marketing purposes.

We may also share information when required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets — provided that any successor entity is bound by privacy commitments at least as protective as those described in this policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal obligations. Contact form submissions are retained for a minimum of 3 years. You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience. You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling cookies may affect some website functionality.

Our chat widget ("Simply Steve") stores a random session identifier in your browser's local storage so that if you return to our site we can pick up the conversation where it left off and avoid asking you for the same information twice. The identifier itself contains no personal data — any contact information you choose to share in the conversation is stored separately on our servers. You can clear this at any time by clicking the refresh icon in the chat widget header, or by clearing your browser data.

7. HIPAA Notice

For clients in healthcare industries Simply IT operates as a Business Associate under HIPAA. We enter into Business Associate Agreements with covered entities and handle Protected Health Information in accordance with HIPAA requirements.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your information, opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP, and opt out of email communications by clicking unsubscribe.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. However no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
